An alloy V6 Wingless sump designed for the Buick engine comes with a sump gasket and 3 x AN8 plugs. Designed to stop oil from splashing onto the crank when stopping or under acceleration. Made for use with our titanium sump bolts. Has an oil level plug in the far top RR corner above the pick-up/drain plug. The whole sump is angled towards the pick-up and is lower profile, higher than the chassis rails. Takes 5 litres of oil. These are welded on an engine for a perfect fit.
Tap the existing oil pickup passage to 3/8” NPT and block it off. Then drill and tap the side of the block to 1/2” NPT, positioned up from the base, for the external oil pickup fitting.
